10 Years of a Lifetime

A brief message to say hi
Lead us to here
Never saying goodbye
It has been going on 10 years

A quick kiss across my lips
A whisper of be mine
A spark of electric when our finger tips
Met in the nick of time

I do was exchanged
In front of just a few
Lives forever changed
Mine, yours and theirs too

10 years of ups
10 years of downs
Still, overflowing are our cups
More smiles than frowns

Life may not always be perfect
But I am for you and you for me
Our hearts interconnect
Kids went from two to three

Here's to 10 years of marriage
To my best friend
A lifetime left to make memories
A lifetime left to be you and me

September 18 is mine and The Hub's 10th wedding anniversary. We got married 3 weeks after we met and people said it wouldn't last. Here we are, though...showing the world that we got this. It's not always rainbows and sunshine, but there is no one I'd rather experience this with than him. Love you, Hubs!

See what my friends have for you?

  1. Love this! We knew each other 5 weeks and had the same things said to us. Yet here we are, 25 years later. No one I'd rather travel this road with.

  2. Love this poem, and that your dedication and devotion has led you and Matthew to where you are now. Happy Anniversary.
